When I think back to the interview with Andreas and want to visualise the whole thing in a picture, I think of an athlete. A cross-country skier who is just getting started. He already has the initiative in him, he knows that
he knows he has to bring effort and performance. But in his mind, he also sees himself already behind the finish line and focusses his energies on it.

Dear (future) co-operation partners,
Today I would like to offer you a brief insight behind the scenes at B&W: specialised and yet somewhat different. At B&W, we have set a change in motion. This self-initiated and proactive change serves as the basis for constant further development.
In order to be able to offer you better efficiency and at the same time greater security in order processing, we have undergone internal reorganisation and we have also grown! – You may have noticed.
We have recruited Andreas Kratz for this further development. He is strengthening the Fulda branch and, thanks to him, our expertise in the electronics sector is now closer to our customers in the centre of Germany. Just as important, however, is the initiative and mindset that he brings to the table and applies to our company – Andreas told me about this in a brief interview.
As a service provider, we believe that the way we work characterises our performance. I am therefore happy to tell you how I have got to know my new colleague so far, in the hope that you will be just as excited about working with him as I am!
Right from the start of the interview, I realised that I had met a very proactive interviewee. He seemed very open-minded and interested in actively helping me. He also immediately showed a hands-on mentality, which meant I didn’t even get round to collecting my catalogue of questions! – We hadn’t agreed in advance how the interview should proceed. After my brief introduction, Andreas began to talk about his work philosophy, which he had unfortunately not been able to realise at his previous employers, and that he had seen the opportunity to do so at B&W. I saw the former as a sign of active listening and thinking: I didn’t have to explain to him what I wanted from him, he put himself in my shoes and responded to my requirements accordingly. I was simply proud that he put his trust in B&W and chose us as an employer!
He told me that the quality of the projects is his top priority. He would prefer to supervise entire product developments – from the idea to production. In response to my objection that this is not necessarily the typical path for service providers, he replied: ‘Yes, it’s not the easy way.’ He enjoys the complexity of the projects and at the same time challenges himself to perform at his best. His words sounded authentic when he said: ‘I am completely behind my developments. Even when things are going well, even when there are difficulties.’ Andreas’ reliability is confirmed by both a broad network of electronics experts who are happy to ask for his advice and satisfied existing customers who value him for his open communication and his broad but focussed know-how.
